Coral Springs' 2026 Dining Map: Two Clusters Worth Knowing

Coral Springs' 2026 Dining Map: Two Clusters Worth Knowing

A useful dining map should tell you more than what opened. It should help you decide where to go for breakfast, where to meet for dinner, and which announced restaurants are still too early to count on.

For residents searching “new restaurants Coral Springs 2026,” two concentrated pockets deserve attention. One is Cornerstone at Sample Road and North University Drive. The other runs along Coral Ridge Drive around Sawgrass Center and the Heron Bay area.

The distinction between them matters. Cornerstone is a purpose-built mixed-use development where several restaurants operate close together beneath the Modera Coral Springs apartments. The western corridor is changing through turnover, with new concepts taking over former restaurants and other retail spaces.

That gives each cluster a different role in daily life. Cornerstone currently works better for a park-once outing with several choices nearby. Coral Ridge Drive remains more spread out, but its mix is becoming broader across breakfast, lunch, takeout, and full-service dining.

Status check: Restaurant information below is current as of July 15, 2026. Scheduled and tentative openings can change because of construction, permitting, staffing, and other operating decisions.

New Restaurants Coral Springs 2026: Read the Map by Cluster

This is not meant to be an exhaustive citywide restaurant directory. It is a practical look at two places where multiple openings and announcements are changing how residents plan a meal.

Status Cornerstone Coral Ridge Drive corridor
Open Mitch’s Downtown, How Ya Dough’n, Tacocraft, Gary Rack’s Farmhouse Kitchen Generoso’s Italian Sandwich Shoppe & Espresso Bar
Scheduled Several city-listed summer concepts Ember & Vine on July 27
Announced Big Whiskey’s for fall 2026 A second Wingstop with a tentative fall timeline
Still unclear None covered here Conflicting reports affect the status of proposed bagel and pizza concepts near 6240 Coral Ridge Drive

The table tells only part of the story. The stronger difference appears when you consider how the restaurants fit together.

Cornerstone Has Become an All-Day Dining Sequence

Cornerstone sits at the southwest corner of Sample Road and North University Drive. The city describes it as an open-air mixed-use development combining apartments, retail, and dining.

Its 2026 openings have filled distinct time slots rather than repeating the same dinner format.

Morning and lunch: Mitch’s Downtown

Mitch’s Downtown Bagel Cafe opened March 23. Its menu gives Cornerstone a clear breakfast-and-lunch anchor with locally made bagels, spreads, omelets, French toast, matzo ball soup, and pastrami sandwiches.

That range makes Mitch’s useful for more than a quick coffee stop. It can cover an early breakfast, a casual lunch, or a deli order without asking residents to leave the development for another meal category.

Casual dinner and takeout: How Ya Dough’n

How Ya Dough’n opened April 24 as the brand’s first Broward County location. Its specialty is long-fermented sourdough pizza, including familiar choices and less conventional flavors such as chicken tikka masala and pistachio.

This opening filled Cornerstone’s casual pizza and takeout slot. It also gives the cluster an option that works differently from a sit-down dinner at Gary Rack’s or a social meal at Tacocraft.

Brunch, tacos, and drinks: Tacocraft

Tacocraft operates at 3240 North University Drive. Its modern Mexican menu, tequila and mezcal offerings, happy hour, and weekend brunch make it Cornerstone’s more social option.

The practical distinction is useful. Residents can choose Tacocraft when the plan centers on brunch, tacos, or drinks rather than treating every Cornerstone restaurant as interchangeable.

Full-service dining: Gary Rack’s Farmhouse Kitchen

Gary Rack’s Farmhouse Kitchen opened June 15 at 3314 North University Drive. This is the brand’s third restaurant, its first in Broward County, and its largest location to date.

The restaurant adds lunch, dinner, cocktails, and weekend brunch. Its physical setup includes indoor-outdoor seating, an open kitchen, and a wraparound patio.

Gary Rack’s completes the clearest gap in the current Cornerstone lineup. A resident can now use the development for a deli breakfast, pizza, tacos and drinks, or a full-service meal without treating it as a one-restaurant stop.

Cornerstone’s Next Phase Is About Filling Smaller Gaps

The city’s current Cornerstone business list projects several more openings for summer 2026:

  • Let’s Chill Homemade Ice Cream
  • Paris Baguette
  • Copenhagen Corner Wine Bar
  • Maha Juice Bar

Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant and Bar is listed for fall 2026.

These are projected timelines, not promises. The city page still showed Gary Rack’s as a summer opening after newer reporting confirmed its June 15 opening, which demonstrates how quickly a development directory can fall behind events on the ground.

The mix is still informative. Ice cream, baked goods, wine, and juice would extend Cornerstone beyond its current restaurant lineup. If the announced concepts arrive, the development could support more short visits between full meals, from a bakery stop to dessert after dinner.

Coral Ridge Drive Is Changing Through Reuse

The western cluster has a different structure. It is safer to call it the Coral Ridge Drive corridor around Sawgrass Center and Heron Bay rather than place every restaurant inside Sawgrass Center. The center’s published address range is narrower than the collection of storefronts covered by recent restaurant announcements.

This area also lacks Cornerstone’s concentrated mixed-use format. Its growth is coming from new operators reworking existing spaces.

Ember & Vine is replacing a longstanding restaurant. The planned Wingstop is taking over a former salon. Long Island Bagel Cafe has been reported for a former restaurant space, while the former Family Bagels location at 5906 Coral Ridge Drive closed earlier in 2026.

That turnover creates a corridor with more varied formats, but residents should expect to drive between some of the options rather than park once and move through a single development.

Ember & Vine Is the Western Cluster’s Key Opening

Ember & Vine is scheduled to open July 27 at 5920 Coral Ridge Drive in the former Angelo Elia Pizza, Bar & Tapas location.

Eddie and Christina Pozzuoli of P Hospitality Management are behind the concept. Their nearby restaurant portfolio includes Eddie & Vinny’s in Coral Springs and Dear Olivia in Parkland.

Ember & Vine is planned as an all-day restaurant rather than a dinner-only destination. The concept covers coffee, breakfast meetings, lunch, cocktails, dinner, and shared plates. It also plans to serve coffee from Coral Springs-based 360F Coffee Roasters.

That all-day schedule is the most meaningful part of the opening. The western corridor already has quick daytime food, but Ember & Vine is designed to connect several occasions in one place. It can serve a morning meeting, a longer lunch, drinks, or dinner without depending on a single peak period.

Since July 27 was still a future opening date as of this update, residents should confirm operating details before making plans.

Generoso’s Gives the Corridor a Daytime Anchor

Generoso’s Italian Sandwich Shoppe & Espresso Bar is already operating at 6230 Coral Ridge Drive. The locally owned business opened in fall 2025 and serves Italian sandwiches, espresso, pastries, and breakfast items.

Generoso’s helps explain why the western cluster should be read as a corridor rather than one dinner destination. Its role is strongest during breakfast and lunch, while Ember & Vine is intended to cover a wider portion of the day.

Together, the two concepts show the direction of the corridor. One serves the quick sandwich, pastry, or espresso visit. The other is preparing for longer meals and evening use.

Wingstop Adds a Tentative Fall Opening

A second Coral Springs Wingstop is planned for 5972 Coral Ridge Drive near the Sawgrass Center Publix. The restaurant would replace a former salon and join the existing Wingstop on Wiles Road.

Local reporting has identified late September or early October as a tentative opening period. Construction could change that schedule, so it belongs on the announced list rather than the confirmed-open map.

If it opens as planned, Wingstop would add another takeout-oriented option to the corridor. That reinforces the western cluster’s broad mix, with Italian sandwiches, an all-day full-service restaurant, and quick-service wings serving different needs.

Why Two Reported Concepts Are Not on the Confirmed Map

Reports concerning Long Island Bagel Cafe and Pummarola Pizzeria create an unresolved address conflict near 6240 Coral Ridge Drive. Both have been associated with the western corridor, but available sources do not support listing both as confirmed tenants at the same address.

Long Island Bagel Cafe has been reported for the former Hurricane Grill & Wings space. Pummarola has also been reported for the corridor. The exact address and current status need direct confirmation before either belongs on a dependable opening list.

For residents, the right takeaway is simple: watch the corridor, but do not plan around either opening yet. A “coming soon” report is different from a restaurant with a verified opening date or an operating location.

Which Cluster Fits the Plan?

The most useful comparison is based on the outing rather than the cuisine.

Choose Cornerstone when:

  • You want several operating choices close together.
  • The group has not settled on breakfast, pizza, tacos, or a full-service meal.
  • You prefer a park-once mixed-use setting.
  • You want to pair a meal with another stop as the remaining retail concepts open.

Choose the Coral Ridge Drive corridor when:

  • You are looking for an Italian sandwich, espresso, or pastry at Generoso’s.
  • You want to try Ember & Vine after its scheduled July 27 opening.
  • You are coming from the Heron Bay side of Coral Springs or nearby areas.
  • You do not mind driving between businesses along the corridor.

Cornerstone currently offers the more complete cluster. Coral Ridge Drive may see the larger change in character as former spaces gain new operators. One is building density through a coordinated development. The other is renewing an established commercial corridor one storefront at a time.

A Local Amenity Worth Tracking

Restaurant openings do not determine a home’s value on their own. They do change daily routines, meeting points, and how residents use nearby commercial areas. Those details matter when people compare locations within Coral Springs, especially when two parts of the city offer different dining patterns.
