Parkland's Fall Calendar Runs Through One Park on Ranch Road

October 15, 2026

From mid-October to the last Sunday craft fair before Christmas, most of Parkland's fall happens at one address: the Equestrian Center at Temple Park, 8350 Ranch Road. That's where you'll find the Pumpkin Patch, the Halloween Festival, the Hayride & Bonfire and the full fall run of the Parkland Farmers' Market. Almost all of it is free and none of it needs a sign-up. Snowfest on December 17 is the one event that requires paid tickets bought in advance, and it's open to Parkland residents only.

So a Parkland fall takes very little planning, except for one date that needs a reminder set weeks ahead.

The Park That Hosts Nearly Everything

The city's facility page for the Equestrian Center at Temple Park lists two equestrian rings, open space, a pavilion, restrooms, barbecue grills and concessions. The same page notes that it's the only city park that allows pets. That one rule explains why a market with a Pet Expo fits here and wouldn't fit at most other city parks.

The location isn't new. The city's 2025 calendar also put last year's Halloween Festival at the Equestrian Center, on October 24, 2025. What's different in 2026 is how much of the season is scheduled there, and how early the market season starts. If you know the Temple Park rings mainly from horse shows, we covered that side of the park in our look at Cypress Head's bridle paths and Parkland's public horse show calendar. Fall turns the same grounds into a family events site most weekends.

October: Two Weekends, Then One Friday Night

The Pumpkin Patch opens the season on Saturday and Sunday, October 17–18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Opening weekend includes hayrides, food trucks, a petting zoo, face painting, inflatables, arts and crafts and a scarecrow contest. Entry is free, and pumpkins and food are sold on site. The city hasn't posted pumpkin prices or prices for individual attractions.

After opening weekend the patch stays open on weekday evenings, Monday through Thursday, October 19–22, from 5 to 7 p.m. If the weekend crowd isn't your thing, those two-hour weekday windows are the other way to pick a pumpkin.

The next night, the same field hosts the Parkland Halloween Festival on Friday, October 23, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. It's free and open to the public. The city's listing describes a "festive field of Trick-or-Trunks" where kids collect candy from decorated vehicles, along with live entertainment on stage, stilt walkers and other costumed characters, and food trucks selling fall food. The city is also still taking Trick-or-Trunk applications from businesses, organizations, schools and community groups. For a local business owner or a group that wants to hand out candy, that's the most direct way to take part.

That's six straight days of events at one address, from October 17 through October 23.

November: The Market Season Starts Two Weeks Earlier

The Parkland Farmers' Market opens its 2026–27 season on Sunday, November 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Equestrian Center. It runs on the first and third Sundays of each month through April, TAPinto Parkland reported on September 30. Vendors sell vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers, plus bread, pastries, jams, honey, dips, sauces, fresh pasta, cheese and pickles.

The start date is what changed. Last year, Parkland Talk reported the market opening on November 16 with its Pet Expo. This year, opening day has a Public Safety theme and the Pet Expo moves to November 15. That adds one more market Sunday to the fall. The city's Pet Expo listing says admission and parking are both free, dogs must stay leashed, and owners are expected to clean up after them. That matches the park's pets-allowed status.

Between those two Sundays, the park hosts its Friday-night event for November. The Hayride & Bonfire runs Friday, November 13, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Equestrian Center. The 2026 listing doesn't give a cost.

The market keeps going well past fall. TAPinto's season preview lists a Health & Wellness Market on January 3, a Florida Fresh & Strawberry Celebration on January 17, a Car Show on February 21 and a Plant Sale & Environmental Expo on April 18. New this season is a Kidpreneur Marketplace on March 7, 2027. Young entrepreneurs ages 8 to 16 can sell their own products there, as long as the business is run by the child. If your kid has been baking or making art to sell, the application window is worth watching over the winter.

December: Craft Fairs on Ranch Road, Then the Season Moves

December's two market Sundays are both Holiday Craft Fairs, on December 6 and December 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Equestrian Center. The city's listing for December 6 advertises more than 40 craft vendors. Two craft fairs two weeks apart give holiday shoppers a second chance at local vendors before December 25.

In between, the city's evening events leave Ranch Road. Light Up the Park is Friday, December 11, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Amphitheatre, 10561 Trails End, in Pine Trails Park. The listing includes local group performances, children's activities, bounce houses and food trucks. The 2026 listing doesn't mention a cost.

Next comes the Holiday Home Decorating Contest. Judges visit homes across the city on Tuesday, December 15, from 6 to 9 p.m., and winners are announced at Snowfest. Any lights going up on your street are competing in the same contest.

Snowfest Is the One Night You Can't Decide On That Day

Every event above lets you decide the same afternoon. Snowfest doesn't.

The city calendar lists Snowfest for Thursday, December 17, from 5 to 8 p.m. Tickets cost $20 per child, the event is for Parkland residents only, children need a ticket, registration is required, and no tickets are sold at the door. The event includes snow slides, seasonal crafts, music, holiday activities and food trucks selling food and drinks.

Two details are still unclear. The listing gives only "Parkland, FL 33067" as the address and names no specific venue. The city's two pages also disagree on when registration opens. The event page mentions a Monday, November 1 start, while the separate registration listing on the calendar is dated Tuesday, December 1, 2026, and says registration begins that day. The registration listing is the more specific of the two. Still, the safest plan is to check the Snowfest event page in late November. With only about two weeks between a December 1 opening and a December 17 event, the window to register could be short.

The city hasn't published a parking plan, overflow lots or shuttles for the busier Equestrian Center nights. The only parking detail on record is the Pet Expo listing's note that parking is free.
